Pharmacological effects and indications of Dalteparin sodium
2021-07-16 09:13:49

Dalteparin sodium belongs to low molecular weight heparin sodium and is white or off-white powder. Almost odorless, tasteless, and hygroscopic. It is soluble in water and saline, but insoluble in ethanol, acetone, benzene, chloroform and ether. The pH of 1% aqueous solution is 6.0~7.5.

Pharmacological effects of dalteparin sodium:

Much larger than unfractionated heparin. In clinical applications, it has shown that its anti-Xa activity is strong and long-lasting, while the effect of prolonging APTT is weak. Therefore, it shows strong antithrombotic effect and low bleeding risk. In addition, dalteparin sodium can also promote fibrinolysis, protect endothelial cells by binding to vascular endothelial cells, enhance antithrombotic effects, and have less impact on platelet function and lipid metabolism than regular heparin.

Indications of dalteparin sodium:

1. It can be used in general surgery, total hip or knee replacement surgery, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in patients with long-term bed rest or malignant tumors, prevention of pulmonary embolism (PE), disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), etc.

2. Used for habitual abortion caused by lupus antibody positive.

3. It can significantly reduce the incidence of DVT in patients with acute ischemic stroke.

4. Dalteparin sodium can prevent and treat thromboembolic diseases and prevent blood clot formation during hemodialysis.
